You will join an IT organisation which is on the threshold of modernising its infrastructure including building a new dual datacentre setup. As Director in our Infrastructure Services department, you will lead this development in cooperation with a team of dedicated and competent employees. 

 Tasks & responsibilities: You will…

…be responsible for the infrastructure services incl. operations in MHI Vestas IT. This includes a hybrid data centre infrastructure, data centre applications and Wind Power Plant applications together with SCADA business units. Your responsibilities will lie within different areas, e.g. people management, stakeholder management, infrastructure services and daily infrastructure operations. 

In MHI Vestas IT, we are on our way to modernising our infrastructure, and you will be the one leading this development. Part of this modernisation will be immutable infrastructure, infrastructure as code and configuration as code initiatives. You will lead a team of approx. 10 employees. 

Your tasks will include: 

  • Business engagement regarding infrastructure services from an End2End delivery of IT services
  • Develop the infrastructure strategy and roadmap incl. budget/BC to support the business in growth and globalisation
  • Ensure compliance with information security policy and standards in coordination with relevant stakeholders across the organisation
  • Develop and optimise the current IT/OT infrastructure in corporation with the IT management team and relevant business units
  • Capture and handle new business demands for infrastructure/OT development (portfolio management)
  • Create transparency in the business in IT deliveries through a KPI-based dashboard
  • The IT operations of server, network and cloud
  • Develop and optimise the Infrastructure Service department (organisation, people and processes)

You will be part of the MHI Vestas IT management team and lead the Infrastructure Services team.

You have excellent change management and leadership skills and proven ability to manage and handle IT demands, stakeholder engagement and project execution. We expect that you have at least 10 years of experience from an IT department in a similar industry, and that you can use this experience to analyse and decompose complex infrastructure challenges and implement changes and improvements. 

We expect that you: 

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in IT or similar
  • Are a strong communicator and decision-maker
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Can counsel and challenge management
  • Are a team player who can contribute to a High Performance Team
  • Have application and project portfolio management experience 
  • Have worked in a partly outsourced IT department
  • Have solid business acumen and business process understanding
  • Are fluent in English

AV konsulent - Vil du være med til at skabe fremtidens undervisningsrum?

VIA University College arbejder hele tiden på at tilbyde de bedst mulige rammer for vores studerendes læring. Det er ambitionen, at undervisningsrum fremstår tidssvarende og velfungerende 24/7, samt at vi udnytter teknologiens muligheder til at udvikle nye og mere fleksible undervisningsformer.

Om VIA IT
VIA IT fungerer dels som it-afdeling for VIA University College, dels som it-afdeling  for DMJX samt en række ungdoms- og erhvervsuddannelser i Midt- og Nordjylland. Samlet set servicerer VIA IT ca. 60.000 brugere fordelt på 45 adresser. Der er ca. 100 personer ansat i VIA IT.
