About the department
The business area comprises of affiliates in Norway, Belgium/Luxembourg, Ireland, Finland, Portugal and Austria and employs more than 300 employees. We are helping thousands of chronically ill patients with diabetes, obesity, haemophilia, growth disorder and hormone replacement needs and with great potential to help many more patients in the future. In addition, the business area is also among the first to launch the newest products on a global level.

Our Commercial Innovation department is responsible for driving commercial innovation within GLP-1, Obesity, Biopharm, and digital health and multi-channel strategy to meet and exceed our ambitious commercial commitments. The department consists of four experienced and highly skilled employees reporting directly into the head of the business area and are responsible for providing high quality commercial innovation and leadership  to help the six affiliates reach their goals.

The position
With a world leading portfolio and pipeline we expect the obesity area to be a key growth driver for the business area in the coming years. As Head of Obesity, your main tasks will be:

  • Drive the building and execution of the Obesity strategy and ambition
  • Establish, refine and drive innovative business models, activities and partnerships in affiliates to secure access and growth in affiliates
  • Ensure that all affiliates have a clear local strategy for obesity, short and long term, and the capabilities to deliver on it
  • Have up to date knowledge of Obesity situation in affiliates. Track and improve obesity commercial performance
  • Represent the business area in the North-West European Obesity Leadership Team
  • Setup and lead Obesity functional group with our affiliates, to ensure information and knowledge sharing
  • Assist with development of attractive investment business cases (including price business cases)

We continuously strive to improve our performance and you are expected to pro-actively optimise processes, improve quality levels and simplify deliverables from affiliates.

You will act as a motivated and highly engaged member of the team, role modelling the Novo Nordisk Way. You will secure strong sales performance and lead the way together with the affiliates, by being a trusted and solution oriented sparring partner.

You are an innovative and creative commercially oriented entrepreneur with high ambitions and a strong desire to build this new high-growth franchise. You have  many years of industrial experience within marketing, sales, market access or similar either from life sciences or from e.g. fast moving consumer goods or similar, with a track record of successfully driving high growth. You have a strong drive, want to take full accountability of your business and you strive for outperforming expectations. You have a positive approach to tasks and a good sense of humour. You are self-driven, comfortable taking on new responsibilities and you always see opportunities and invite yourself to the table. You have great communication skills and you can cooperate effectively with people at all levels in the organisation. You must be fluent in English.
