Head of Payroll & HR Legal

We are looking for a head of Payroll & HR Legal ready to share and grow
Reporting to the EVP, People and Culture, the head of Payroll & HR Legal will be responsible for delivering high quality payroll services and HR Legal advices to BEC. Furthermore, one will be responsible for developing employee relations and legal matters within the human resources field. The position is based in our offices in Roskilde.

The Payroll & HR Legal department is part of People & Culture which in total counts for 15 highly skilled employees. In this role, there is leadership responsibility of four employees based in Herning, and you will be part of the People & Culture management group.

As head of Payroll & HR Legal, you will take charge of further development of the Payroll & HR Legal function. Raising BEC’s capabilities within salary cost management, people statistics, possibilities within our collective bargaining agreement utilizing key stakeholders while being strategically savvy are key to succeeding the role.

The People & Culture organization is undergoing major strategic changes, and as head of Payroll & HR Legal you will have a great impact in helping shape BEC for the years to come.

Primary tasks and responsibilities
In the position as head of Payroll & HR Legal, you will work closely with all managers in BEC, the People & Culture organization, our union representatives as well as external key stakeholders i.e. the Danish Employers’ Association for the Financial Sector (FA). Your primary tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • end to end responsibility for all payroll related activities in Denmark and partly in Poland
  • securing that the payroll and HR legal strategies and processes are supporting the business needs and our TechUp strategy
  • leading the team in being up to date within interpretation and understanding of the collective bargaining agreement and changes in labor law matters
  • handling BEC’s interests regarding our collective bargaining agreement (between FA and Finansforbundet)
  • contract ownership of our pension scheme with PFA covering all employees in Denmark and responsible for the value creation of our employees
  • implementation of salary cost management and salary span
  • keeping up to date on best practices within payroll services and use of people master data – partly by participating in network events for payroll responsible professionals
  • preparing and negotiating local agreements
  • facilitating learning sessions for mangers in BEC concerning payroll and labor law matters
  • develop people policies and processes to underpin attraction of talents
  • preparing material for the executive team and the board
  • budget responsibility for the department

    Preferably, you have an educational background at bachelor level or higher within economics, labor law or business administration and significant experience from a similar position working within the finance industry or other industries working under collective agreements.
