Job description

We’re looking for our very first Head of People to make sure every single player of our 50+ team can thrive at Famly. You’ll be reporting directly to the CEO, working together to shape and develop our processes around training, personal development, onboarding, employee wellbeing, and recruitment.

Famly is on a mission to completely transform the childcare industry. Yeah - we know! It's certainly not fintech, although we do have plenty of financial features in our software. We might not be the latest social media influencer platform, AI company, or make ride-sharing skateboards.

But we do work in an industry where our work has a very real chance to ease stress, and save time for those who nurture and educate children. By doing so, it's a chance to have a positive effect on the lives of children themselves.

We’ve been shaking up the childcare software industry for 7 years. Now, hundreds of thousands of parents and staff use Famly every day in the UK, US, Germany, Denmark, and Norway.

Famly’s team is growing rapidly over the coming months and years as we are aggressively expanding across all departments. In this position you will be in charge of all people-related processes as we scale and ensure that our entire multi-cultural team feels supported. You’ll be doing your job right if our team is happy, passionate about what we do, and delivers an exceptional experience to every customer.

What you'll be doing

  • Implementing consistent and effective employee onboarding processes
  • Organising employee and leadership training
  • Creating and refreshing our leadership and employee handbooks
  • Support hiring processes and recruiting efforts
  • Be there for the team and team leads when they need it
  • Help support performance review processes and compensation talks
  • Requirements

  • You are passionate about helping people and love seeing them succeed.
  • You ideally have experience being a manager
  • You’re curious and inquisitive about processes and how to make them better.
  • You have experience with HR, Employee Success or a similar role
  • You have experience with hiring
  • You have excellent written and spoken English
