Then join Arla Foods Ingredients (AFI) in Aarhus. Focusing on value-added whey, you will help us deliver the industry’s highest levels of quality, innovation and food safety, and you will enable the sales of ingredients to the sports nutrition, clinical nutrition and health food industries.

Enable value-added sales
As the Head of Sales and Science development, you lead a team of highly skilled colleagues who are experts on AFI products, nutrition, whey protein and the use of them in customer relevant applications. In collaboration with Sales, you become globally responsible for driving and implementing our value add product and sales strategy, just as you set the focus for our documentation strategy in collaboration with our team of nutrition scientists. In more detail, you:

  • Act as an inspiring, coaching and motivating manager who actively support the strategy execution for our products, market segments and business area
  • Help your team utilise their nutritional and technical knowledge surrounding our products to facilitate the strategic value-added sales
  • Make sure your team can support all geographies and customers and travel 30-40 days a year to visit trade shows and customers yourself
  • Synthesise market input to help us prioritise the development of new ingredients and make decisions on commercial products
  • Join the business unit management team and coordinate our strategy with all internal support functions – from marketing to application managers and experts on IP and regulatory affairs

Knowledge of nutritional science and sales
Besides showing great leadership, your key to success lies in your ability to apply your strategic awareness and personal impact to act on decisions and make things happen. Also, you have great interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate broadly within the AFI organisation as well as with customers globally in an effective yet pleasant manner. Your qualifications:

  • You have 5+ years of relevant experience where you have used your analytical mindset to translate market needs into new business opportunities.
  • You hold a master’s degree within nutrition or the like and have developed strong and solid sales or marketing competences –  alternatively, you have a commercial background and have experience from the nutrition, medical or other scientific industry.
  • You are renowned for your excellent managerial skills, and you can create results through others.
  • You have excellent project management skills and great communication and presentation skills.
  • You know how to quickly analyse and grasp new markets, segments and customers.
