Head of Social Media and Community

We’re looking for a Head of Social Media and Community that can help us use those channels to strategically build our brand and generate user advocacy on a global scale.

You get inspired by what the best in the world are doing and then you go ahead and create something that’s even better - both on the strategic and tactical level by rolling up your sleeves. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who not only wants to produce great content but also has ambitions of showing the world what best practice looks like when it comes to usage of social media and community building. 

You will lead a small but very strong in-house team and work closely with our marketing team and agencies. You’ll get the opportunity to grow in a global organization with big ambitions. You can be based in our office in central London, Edinburgh or Copenhagen reporting to the VP of External Communications and become a part of a modern working environment working across borders.

In your role, you will:

  • Build and execute our global social media and community strategy, including its associated budget and ensuring we meet our goals.
  • Provide creative planning and thought leadership on ways to build awareness and affinity with target audiences - while being very hands-on in the implementation. 
  • Work with in-house specialists and agencies to build, execute and measure our social media campaigns and activities.
  • Oversee Trustpilot’s online reputation on third-party platforms such as G2 Crowd and Capterra including day-to-day community management. 
  • Monitor feedback on Trustpilot’s own company profile page on our platform and make business-recommendations on the back of it.
  • Managing a small but very strong team. 
  • Work closely and cooperatively with other departments and internal stakeholders, in particular, the marketing team who oversees our paid activities. 
  • Refine our operational methodologies meaningful, fast and responsive content development and distribution. 
  • We are looking for people with:

  • 5+ years of experience from a social media department or agency and a deep understanding of how social media and community building works. 
  • Experience in creating highly creative and effective social media and community campaigns and driving organic growth across various social platforms. Knowledge of paid Social growth a plus.
  • Ability to engage online with all sorts of stakeholders - efficiently and in line with our company values. 
  • Ability to work independently with a hands-on approach 
  • Think and move fast while being a team player - a true people person. 
  • Experience with both B2C and B2B strategies and working with consumer brands a plus.

    As the Head of Social Media and Community, you’ll become a part of our Trust n’ Transparency Division sitting in the Communications Team consisting of seven people based in three locations: Copenhagen, New York and London. We’re a young and small team with a flat structure that work closely together in an informal manner all eager to succeed and learn - and we help each other grow and reach that next step in our careers.
