HR Advisor

Maersk Drilling is proactively looking for a dynamic and efficient HR Advisor dealing with operational HR. As HR Advisor, you will support Offshore Leaders and Rig Management in operational HR related topics and drive all Maersk Drilling HR processes, including local content, both offshore and in the rig team.

You will be a part of an onshore rig team consisting of professional and skilled colleagues.   You will be placed in the frontline of our drilling operation and have daily contact with our offshore employees and rig management.   You should be flexible and able to globally mobilize immediately for shorter or longer periods of time.

Key Responsibilities  

Duties include, but are not be limited to:  

  • Drive work permit processes and support employees both offshore and onshore with regards to work permits  
  • Drive nationalization on the rigs you will be assigned to  
  • Deal with local unions and local labor law  
  • Provide input to the monthly KPI Reports for the rig  
  • Responsible for SAP HR reports  
  • Drive permanent recruitment and other operational needs  
  • Responsible for maintaining full competent offshore crews in cooperation with the Personnel and Training Coordinator  
  • Ad hoc operational HR tasks  
  • Support HR processes  
  • Competency Management support  

Who we are looking for  You have 4-5 years of working experience, of which 2-3 years have been in an HR Advisor role, preferably within the offshore or shipping industry.   Our ideal candidate is:  

  • Conversant with HR principles  
  • Conversant with computerized personnel management systems  
  • Experience with SAP HR is an advantage but not a prerequisite  

Furthermore, you should possess:  

  • Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal)  
  • A solid understanding of work processes and drivers and you have excellent time management skills  
  • Self-drive and thrive in a fast paced environment, yet are organized and work in a structured manner.  
  • You are ambitious and goal-oriented and recognize that your success is based on combined team efforts.  
  • You are a good communicator with great business acumen and you are able to view and accept the world from angles other than your own. It is important that you are service-minded, but not afraid to enforce policies and challenge decisions if necessary.
