Role Description 

Local HR Services Denmark provides HR services where unique country support is required. We deliver consistent, standardized, and scalable HR services to our employees. We are combining local labor knowledge and have a deep process understanding, we are supporting an efficient and compliant HR service delivery to our customers and partners. We run crucial pre-payroll processes which are mission critical for business continuity. We are biased towards execution but also partner in global projects and continuous improvement initiatives across all HR. 

The Nordic Local HR Services consultant is responsible to provide and resolve employee and manager queries, consult employees and carry-out operational HR administrative tasks across the whole employee life cycle (from onboarding, contractual changes, pre-payroll support to the termination process). In addition, the consultant will closely team up with the local HR Business Partner team, works closely with Payroll and colleagues from other supporting functions as well as with the local business units.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Main responsible is to ensure smooth HR Operations and Payroll Input in Denmark. Support of other Nordic and Baltic countries might be required. 
  • Be the second level support for all kind of HR inquiries coming from employees and managers in accordance with our Service Level Agreements 
  • HR Portal pages maintenance and input to the HR knowledgebase
  • Onboarding of new hires and related administration 
  • Administration of contractual changes 
  • Delivery of time critical, highly visible pre-payroll input
  • Involvement in termination cases 
  • Support Benefits administration 
  • Administration and support in restructurings and Mergers & Acquisitions 
  • Promotion of HR Shared Service Centre concept (the HR Operational Model) and support of local HR communication activities 
  • Partner with other HR Service Specialists in EMEA, HR Business Partner and HR Center of Excellence to solve issues and to deliver service improvements 
  • Seeks feedback from customers to identify opportunities for improvement. 
  • Building relationships with HR Global Service Delivery teams, CoEs, HRBPs, and other key departments to facilitate the delivery of processes. Becoming a "partner" and displaying the benefit of a combined working relationship. Working with vendors and building a relationship with them to ensure we have identified the most efficient and effective process with that vendor 
  • Education and qualifications / Skills and competencies: 

  • Business Degree preferred 
  • Knowledge of Danish or another Nordic employment law/ legislation is a must 
  • Professional communication skills; both written and verbal 
  • Good knowledge of payroll processes and pre-payroll reporting requirements 
  • Good knowledge of HR processes 
  • Quality driven, analytical, and problem-solving skills 
  • High level of accuracy with a high attention to details 
  • Able to accept and embrace continuous changes and improvement 
  • Able and willing to adapt new learnings and tools
  • Able to plan, work, drive and own initiatives and independently execute them without supervision 
  • Ability to work in a truly international team where team members are located in different locations and belong to different cultures 
  • Experienced to work with confidential information
  • Excellent MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) 
  • English language skills written and spoken fluently is essential 
  • Danish language skills, written and spoken fluently is essential 
  • Work experience: 

  • 3-6 years of work experience in a comparable HR role 
  • Strong Customer service attitude 
  • Background in payroll practices
  • Work experience in an HR Shared Service environment
  • Experience working in a multinational context, team, and company 
  • Desirable: 

  • SAP HR system knowledge 
  • Experience in working in a virtual team 
  • Project Management Experience is a plus
