Key Responsibilities include: Leveraging your interpersonal and collaboration skills to deliver results across a global team.  Strategic planning, execution, relationship development, and working with project leaders.   Knowledge and experience working with quantum scientists as well as classical engineering experts.     Solid technical depth and analytical/problem solving.      Ability to manage ambiguity and uncertainty, while driving clarity.  Work with technical engineering and program management teams to drive program priorities and provide LT-level updates and readouts on progress and challenges.    Provide input on strategic and tactical objectives for the globally-distributed team. Our team is globally distributed; while your core team will be Redmond-based, you may also manage people at remote sites on other continents. 

Qualifications

Basic: 

  • An advanced degree in Electrical engineering, Physics, Applied Physics or related field. 
  • Track record of technical contributions in nanofabrication technology development. 
  • Experience with engineering and process management structures. 
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills. 

 

Desired Skills: 

  • Some understanding of quantum computing and its engineering challenges. 
  • Track record of making technical contributions in complex systems engineering 
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to new situations in a rapidly changing research environment. 
  • Strong teamwork and coaching skills.
