International Project Coordinator (West Africa)

We are looking for an ambitious project coordinator to join our team in Copenhagen, to assist in developing our business in West Africa.

The Company

The Position
You will report to the International Project Manager for West Africa, and will be broadly responsible for the identification, bidding, and execution of various projects in the region. The scope of the position is particularly focused on French-speaking countries in Africa; it is therefore a compulsory pre-requisite that you speak fluent French in order to be considered for the position.

Key tasks of the position include:

  • Identifying sales leads in the form of newly published tenders, direct customer requests, or other.
  • Handling the preparation of bid submissions for relevant tenders. You will be fully responsible and accountable for the end-to-end process of preparing and delivering the offer to the client.
  • Included in the above is vendor management and the procurement of the relevant goods and services of the bid.
  • The successful execution of won projects, ensuring compliance to the approved budget. This may involve travel to the destination countries as is needed.
  • Building and maintaining a strong network of partners and agents in West Africa, through which the business will be able to grow in years to come.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Education within International Trade, Logistics or any other relevant field.
  • Ideally 1-3 years prior experience with tender sales or project management.
  • Ideally some prior experience in procurement or vendor/supplier management.
  • Prior experience living or working in West Africa would be an advantage.
  • Full fluency in French and English is a prerequisite and non-negotiable. Other languages such as Portuguese, Spanish and Mandarin would be a plus.
  • Highly proactive and adaptable: If you see something that is broken, you want to fix it. You are comfortable with bringing new ideas to the table and presenting solutions to constantly evolving challenges.
  • A strong communicator: You have demonstrated an ability to reach people from different cultural backgrounds, and you are confident speaker who knows how to bring out the best from any negotiation.
  • Team player, that can share the workload and play a supporting role when a task requires joint effort.
  • A high degree of personal organisation, with a high attention to detail.
  • Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel.

Job location
From the company HQ in central Copenhagen, Denmark.

Expect several travel days pr year as soon as the corona situation has stabilized in the world.

Start date
Immediately.
