About the department

Biotech & Rare Disease (BRD) Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) Denmark is located in Gentofte, Hilleroed and Kalundborg. This is where the active ingredients, going into all our life-saving biotech products, are made by app. 500 committed colleagues. We manufacture through complex chemical and biotechnological processes requiring a high level of expertise, commitment, and engagement from our employees and including cultivation, recovery, purification and freeze-drying. We are producing at full speed in existing facilities, while building and ramping up new state of the art additions to keep up with demand and new Novo Nordisk products. We bring value to patients by delivering the purest possible high-quality API made in compliance with Good Manufacturing Process (GMP). We drive change by always looking for improvements within our processes, but also in the way we work together to make our products reach as many patients as possible.


The position

You will be a part of a newly established team responsible for handling of our investment projects. The team consists of 3 highly skilled colleagues so far, who all work as project managers within new product entry, IT, production and facilities.
 

Your key responsibility is to coordinate the investments projects in our production according to our yearly investment plan. This work is done in close collaboration and with frequent reporting to all three department managers at our site. Together with the responsible project managers, you ensure timely planning and execution of projects. You are also the link from our local investment portfolio to the for the entire API investment portfolio in Biotech & Rare Disease (BRD).

A part of your role is to make sure, that we hand in our project ideas timely, to prepare the internal prioritisation of the projects and to make sure the project managers are ready for presentation at demanded gates in the projects. The projects can include both minor investments to improve current production and support Life Cycle Management of our facilities as well as introduction of new production equipment. You will:
 

  • Have the opportunity to oversee the key responsibility of weekly project manager meetings to follow cost in different systems (SAP, Clarity, Tableau) and local steering groups to review project material and give feedback to project managers. You will also be involved in review and approve gate presentations and project agreements.
  • Input to processes around investment planning in production and link to CVP area plans and portfolio manager.
  • Run the local process for budget input and ensure information flow up to deadlines.
  • Consolidate the project portfolio within your area of responsibility.
  • Ensure strategic alignment and prioritisations.
  • Qualifications

    You have an academic background and have experience of working with planning and execution of several projects. Preferably, you are well acquainted with running larger projects in a GMP environment.

  • You to have excellent planning skills, the ability to overview a large portfolio of investment projects, a strong mindset of keeping deadlines.
  • Experience manoeuvring in a complex stakeholder landscape.
  • Strong communication skills and good stakeholder management capabilities.
  • LEAN knowledge and/or experience in process optimisation.

  • As a person, you have a strong interest in the economical part of a project and work well working towards deadlines. You are structured and proactive in your work and have a focus on quality. Furthermore, you can collaborate, network and work at a strategic level with all key stakeholders and maintain a reputation for managing expectations and fulfilling delivering results. You will have the opportunity to liaise with several stakeholders across the organisation. Therefore, are fluent in verbal and written English. To help you succeed in this position, you need the drive to be able to gather information from many stakeholders and gather input and feedback on project deliverables according to overall deadlines.
