About the job

As an IT Administrator you will be placed in our DevOps Team consisting of you and 3 other colleagues. The DevOps Team reports directly to the CTO. 

Your main responsibility will be to to ensure that MovieStarPlanet’s employee’s have all the tools they need to perform their work:

 

  • IT-Support for your colleagues
  • Purchasing hardware and software
  • Handling our PC’s, Test Devices and Software licenses
  • Onboarding/Offboarding employees (Setup accounts, access and equipment)
  • Maintaining access to various systems - including but not limited to AWS, Google Workspaces, Jira/Confluence, Active Directory and GitHub
  • Maintaining and improving internal IT infrastructure

We offer a broad learning opportunity to increase your technology skills as we aim to follow relevant new trends and technologies. 

Being part of the DevOps team, you will also have the opportunity to influence which technologies we use, and work with them on a daily basis.

We have almost completed a migration of all physical on-premise server infrastructure, which means all our servers and services will run in AWS or as SaaS solutions.

Additionally, we have simplified and automated many of the tasks that the IT-Administrator would handle, which means this role can focus on cloud solutions and process improvements and relatively few manual, routine tasks. 

As a result, you will have the chance to focus on developing your skills within Security, Servers, Networking, Coding/Scripting and Cloud Computing (AWS).

 

About You

You are a service minded person who can work independently and knows how to prioritize and plan your work. You have an affection for IT, and love to acquire new knowledge. Furthermore you have:

  • An IT Education e.g. IT-Supporter, Data Technician, Associate Professional Degree in IT-Technology or similar knowledge level
  • An outgoing personality
  • Written and spoken English on a professional level

MovieStarPlanet ApS is the company behind the games and social networks MovieStarPlanet and BlockStarPlanet targeted for kids aged 8-13 years. In the virtual worlds, users design their own MovieStar or BlockStar avatar, which is used to play the games and have fun with friends.

 

Some of the key features include dress-up, chat with friends, create looks, make movies and artbooks, design clothes, build worlds and prefabs and play mini-games.

 

Launched in Denmark in 2009, MovieStarPlanet ApS has experienced explosive growth. Currently, the games are live in 16 countries across 11 European markets as well as the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Globally we rank among the most popular virtual worlds for the target group with more than 300 million registered profiles.

 

MovieStarPlanet ApS employs around 75 staff at the Headquarter based in the attractive surroundings of the new and modern part of Copenhagen called Ørestad, located very close to the city center and the metro line. Corporate language is English.
