IT Business Partner for PLM & IoT

At the VELUX Group, we give you the chance to grow. To shape your own career. To work in an international environment. To be part of a company that leads the market in sustainable indoor living. We offer you a world of opportunities – if you have the ability and the drive to take them.

Do you want to shape the VELUX product lifecycle management (PLM) processes for the future and support cutting edge IoT developments for the VELUX products of the next decade? Do you have extensive experience with Windchill and CAD systems and the ability to work with stakeholders across all levels of a global organisation? Then we might be looking for you!

Your challenges

You will become part of the VELUX Products & Services IT Business Partnering team supporting our Products area. We are a small, dedicated, and international team of IT Business Partners, spread across Europe. As we are a remote team, you have the flexibility of working remotely from anywhere in Denmark, with the option of also working on-site from one of our offices (either in Hørsholm, Østbirk, Kolding, Skjern, or Thyregod).

As the IT Business Partner, your key priority will be to act a sparring partner and enabler for VELUX’ Product Development team based in Denmark, in addition to other relevant business departments. Initially, Product Lifecycle Management will be your focus area and in the long run, you will also be involved in the IoT aspects of the role. You will be responsible for a wide range of IT-related processes in the area of PLM, product development and connected products in a large number of systems. You can expect to collaborate closely with the global process owners, our local product development departments and PLM support teams, and our outsourcing partners.

In this dynamic role, you will work in a complex global product context mixing tasks of system support with tasks on the ‘digital thread’ in long term roadmap applications in the Products area. We are in the process of revitalizing our PLM road map and you will have the chance to influence the next steps in this plan. You will have hands-on responsibility for project management, process mapping, following-up on the current support tasks, supervising new functional development, and testing.

Your primary tasks will be to:

  • Help the business to progress on their journey to become more digital by finding the best resources within the VELUX global IT organisation
  • Map processes and facilitate workshops recommending changes to secure value creation for VELUX
  • Manage activities regarding implementation of new functionalities (including agile project management)
  • Align with global process owners and stakeholders’ ongoing changes and developments within the areas of PLM and IoT
  • Support the business during PLM enhancement and upgrades
  • Supervise and assist our outsourcing partners to resolve PLM and IoT related issues.
  • Identify and drive changes and implement for our new IoT platform
  • You can expect to travel approximately 30 days annually, primarily within Denmark, but also occasionally traveling internationally within Western Europe.

    Your qualifications

As a person, you are driven by your desire and curiosity to understand our business and your stakeholders. You have a strong interest in working in a complex IT environment, coupled with an analytical mindset and the ability to build relationships and communicate with various stakeholders across the organisation. You take the initiative and are comfortable acting independently but within a strong collaborative team environment. You are service-minded, ambitious, with a natural desire to progress and improve.

    Moreover, we expect that you:

  • Hold a master’s degree in economics, engineering, computer science, business administration, or similar, alongside a strong understanding of the product development cycle
  • Demonstrate solid experience from a similar position as PLM business partner, process owner or PLM Consultant
  • Have experience with Windchill, CREO, Ansys. It is an advantage if you also have experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and Solidworks.
  • Are knowledgeable about data pipelines and advanced analytics of big data.
  • Possess excellent communication skills
  • Are fluent in English, both spoken and in writing.
  • It is an advantage, but not mandatory, to have experience working with digital/connected products.
  • It is an advantage if you are certified scrum master or have had touch points with the agile project approach.
  • Your opportunities

You will be joining a fun team of experienced and passionate colleagues – in a setting where knowledge is shared, and responsibility is given to those who can and will.

We are a strong value-based company where commitment, thoroughness and mutual respect are among the core values and teamwork and professionalism is essential to the way we work. We will provide you with the opportunities, inspiration, and state-of-the-art tools to create a brighter, common future.

    Application and contact

We look forward to receiving your application and CV in English as soon as possible. We will review applications and conduct interviews on an on-going basis, so do not wait to apply.
