Java/Kotlin Backend Developer

As a developer at Trifork, you will be part of an agile and highly skilled development team who invites you to take part in the entire development process in close collaboration with our customers and UI/UX designers. You will create a variety of applications, focusing on overall architecture, domain-driven design, and programming. We strive to use the best technologies and tools. We embrace cloud native, microservices, and fully automated CI/CD pipelines.

About you

You are a team player who values integrity and honesty. You are not always tempted by the “quick solution,” but instead you think about architecture and design in your solutions.

You are curious about new technologies and best practices without blindly following established norms and latest trends.

You are able and willing to build relationships with our customers and strive to involve them in the whole process, openly addressing the challenges along the way, and cultivating an environment of collaboration, transparency, and integrity.

You enjoy working with all parts of the development process – from idea and requirements specification to implementation, bug fixing, release, and maintenance.

You have a great technical knowledge and an understanding of end-user experience. You are able to produce well-structured and readable code.

Job requirements

We expect that you have ...

  • Intrinsic motivation to keep learning and sharpening your knowledge
  • A strong interest in architecture, domain-driven design, and design patterns
  • Experience with at least one programming language

It is a bonus if you have ...

  • Experience with Java or Kotlin
  • Knowledge of Java ecosystem: frameworks, programming languages, build tools, etc.
  • Familiarity with microservices and containerization: Kubernetes, Docker, etc.
  • Familiarity with DevOps and setting up a CI/CD pipeline
  • Experience with persistence models: relational databases, document/key-value databases, etc.
  • Knowledge about and interest in RESTful web services
  • Experience with multiple programming paradigms and languages.

What we offer you

Our daily work is characterized by an open and honest atmosphere. We emphasize creating a challenging yet fun working environment. We work in agile and cross-functional teams in close collaboration with customers. Professional sparring is important to us, and as a rule, we have at least two developers per project.

As a developer in Trifork, we will offer you:

  • Trifork Hackerdays – the opportunity to dive into technologies and projects of your choice offsite with your colleagues
  • GOTO Conference and GOTO Nights – where you play a large part in its content and topics
  • The opportunity to attend other developer conferences around the world
  • Scrum certification
  • Influence on choice of technology in projects
  • Annual strategy trip focusing on team building and corporate culture
  • Platform and OS independence
  • Centrally located office
  • Daily lunch at our canteen
  • Laptop, smartphone, and paid broadband and mobile subscriptions.
