We are currently looking for a Site Assessment Engineer to join our Site Assessment team in our Onshore Regional Engineering department in Brande, Denmark. The department is responsible for Site Assessment activities for customer projects in project acquisition and execution phase. In Site Assessment we make sure that the customer requirements are highly prioritized and handled to achieve the highest quality levels using advanced flow modelling techniques. How to contribute to our vision As a Site Assessment Engineer you are responsible for the full wind turbine site assessment process: site inspections, interpretation of wind data, verification of turbine positions and assessment of loads. This includes holistic optimization of site lay-out in respect of minimization loads and increased energy production to reduced costs for infrastructure, installation and maintenance. You will also provide technical assistance to our sales teams during project acquisition and act as the interface between the sales teams and engineering teams. Based on all of the above, you will generate Turbine Suitability Reviews and other documentation related to suitability studies. What you need to make a difference We imagine that you have a Master in Engineering (renewable energies, mechanical, Electrical), Physics (meteorology, geophysics) or similar scientific degree, with expertise in wind calculations and meteorology. You have in-depth knowledge of WAsP and other site assessment tools (WindPro, Wind Farmer). Furthermore, additional knowledge of WAsP Engineering and WindSim or similar CFD moddeling tools will be added advantage. It is important that you have excellent IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office. As a person you are determined, result, quality and customer oriented. You are a good communicator and you possess strong analytical skills. It is important that you are you are fluent in English, both orally and in writing. You have ability to handle multiple tasks and capable to handle high stress during peak load period. You should expect up to 20 travelling days per year In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
