Global Financial Compliance controller

In this position, you engage with people from more than 30 subsidiaries to ensure that we report financially compliant and accurate numbers within the Financial policies and accounting standards based on US GAAP. You also get the opportunity to further develop company Accounting policies, -guidelines and -tools.

Meet your new team

You will join the Headquarter Finance Compliance team in Radiometer counting 8 people with focus in the Global Financial & Tax Compliance team in the Financial headquarter of the company counting more than 40 people. Additionally, you will work in close cooperation with our Shared Service Centers (SSC) and local finance teams around the world and actings as the Compliance partner for the locations. You can expect an inspiring and motivating work environment, with a healthy focus on performance as well as developing tasks. It is an ambition that this role can be a stepping-stone to develop management capabilities.

Your responsibilities summed up

  • Plan and manage Global Balance sheet Reviews for approximately 40 entities (including training, coordination, reviewing and reporting with local teams)
  • Deliver accounting Policies, communication, training etc.
  • Ensure respect of accounting procedures & standard templates incl. Axapta templates
  • Drive Global Finance SSC compliance excellence and best practice
  • Establish standard controls for complex accounting areas
  • Global Internal and External Audits, coordination and support
  • Contact and training for local Finance and Shared Service Centers
  • Management of Global SOX process entities of remediation plans from SOX, Audits, Balance Sheet reviews etc.
  • Travel activity in normal circumstances is estimated to 10-20 % of your time as the position requires on-site presence in local Finance and Shared Service Centers globally.

    Qualifications

    We expect that you have a Bachelor or a Master of science within finance or accounting or HA/HD, Cand. Merc. or equivalent. Ideally, you have experience from an Audit company overseeing medium-sized or bigger companies or from a Finance team in similar companies with global subsidiaries. This combined with the following increases your chances of success in the job:

  • Accounting policies and guidelines (we work with US GAAP)
  • Understanding of Financial compliance and internal controls
  • ERP systems (we use Axapta) and internal controls
  • Fluency in English verbally and in writing. Mastery of Danish or Polish is an advantage
  • Microsoft Office skills and particularly Word and Excel super user
  • Further, success in this role requires that you:
