The position

We are currently looking for a buyer for our team based in Nærum, Denmark

The job function is part of Planning and Procurement department which is responsible for the daily call off process, issue purchase order, follow up on order confirmation, handling reschedulling in ERP system and follow up on the order deliveries

You will be one of 3 buyers and in collaboration with 2 production planners, you will be responsible for the daily supply chain management practices, handling the purchasing needs and achieving the procurement goals and objectives through the execution of sourcing policies and procedures. 

You will work closely with category managers in strategic sourcing and technical buyers in production Engineering to ensure the the purchased part smeet requirement with regard to quality, delivery and price.

Primary responsibilities 

Your daily work includes:

  • Coordinate and execute the day to day buying operations through the daily placement of order in the ERP system.
  • Handling of the order confirmation
  • Responsible for follow-up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery
  • Working within the management team to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned orders and report any back ordered or missing products
  • Responsible for the procurement of supplies, raw materials, and materials necessary for the operation of the organization.
  • Work closely with others in the procurement function and review opportunities for continuous improvement and business improvements
  • Follow up to optimize our delivery performance to customers 
  • Maintain a positive image and actively contribute to the development of teams and the working environment.
  • Professional qualifications 

  • Minimum 4 years of experience as buyer
  • Super user in ERP, preferably Oracle or SAP
  • Fluent in Danish and English in writing and speaking
  • Personal skills

  • Good analytical skills, well organized
  • Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, a large group of colleagues and customers
  • Ability to work in a structured way while meeting deadlines and cost targets
  • Ability to multi task and provide team support
