Marketing Manager - Boiler Sales

Boiler systems are celebrating 100 years supplying Boilers to the global Maritime market. We are still the market leader and see high growth potential in both our established business as well as new development fit to the changing industry. To continue the journey and to secure growth we will extend our team in Aalborg with a Marketing Manager.

So, what are you going to do today?

Working closely with Sales & Customers
As our new Marketing Manager, you will report to the VP of Boiler Sales and work closely with our two sales units in Aalborg as well as functions like Marketing Communication, Market Intel, Product Management, Service, global network of sales companies and naturally our customers.

You will be part of the Boilers Sales team and will work closely with other departments in Alfa Laval and directly with our Marine customers, to develop a strong market position. Your daily work will include:

  • Value proposition development and implementation
  • Customer journey mapping and alignment of activities resulting in better customer experience
  • Developing and aligning marketing plans, activities and tools with key stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Marketing Communication, Market Intel and Product Management to create content based on defined topics, keywords and trends
  • Value based pricing, marketing finance and data analytics
  • Launch new products and concepts
  • Training of sales personnel and channel partners
  • Lead generation from web, CRM and digital platforms 

Curious Marketing Professional 
You have proven marketing competence paired with good understanding of technical sales. You know how to identify and communicate a compelling value proposition and anchor it in a global sales organization and with our customers.

You have a deep understanding of customer needs and have successfully launched new products and services in a global market. You are curious by nature and is used to close cooperation with sales colleagues, Product Management and Marketing Communications teams. Furthermore, you possess:

  • Degree within Marketing, Business or Technical
  • Min 3-5 years of experience in strategic marketing such as positioning and differentiating based on defined target segment
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively
  • Experience in B2B sales is a must, and if from technical sales it is a clear plus
  • Structured with attention to details, and investigation and research are natural parts of your day
  • Knowledge or experience with Lean start-up and agile tools and processes are welcomed
  • Great skills in English both in speaking and writing
  • Team player and independent thinker
