PPG Marine Coatings is looking for a Business Development Manager Marine for Global New Build and Drydock, to become a key contributor in the continuous development and growth of the Global marine business. If you enjoy sales and relationship building, then this may be the opportunity for you!

As a Business Development Manager, you will develop the business side of the organization by identifying rising business opportunities and building what will become long-term relationships with prospects to increase company revenue and improve profits. Do you have what it takes?

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the business implementation of global projects that include capabilities for integrated 360 customer view and insights.
  • Contribution in the development, mapping and improvement of sales processes to support lead generation and opportunity management
  • Design and implement the right tools for detailed and clear pipeline management and key account management.
  • Responsible for segment analysis and reporting
  • Build models and processes to segment the market, monitor and analyze global customer needs, new and upcoming regulations, industry trends, internal and external micro and macro factors that may become industry/segment opportunities and threats
  • Effective contribution in the development of digital customer tools for value creation and differentiation.
  • Continuously monitor, evaluate and analyze competitor strategies, marketing actions, products, position, strengths and weaknesses
  • Qualifications

  • 8- 10 years’ experience in Sales/Marketing related roles, of which 3+ in the marine industry preferably with commercial exposure
  • University degree preferably in business, engineering or marketing
  • Excellent project management skills with consistent track record to lead the business design and implementation of large and agile projects within budget and timelines.
  • Validated strong cross-functional working skills and ability to deliver results through others in a matrix multi-cultural global environment.
  • Demonstrated strong critical thinking and eye for business to synthesize multiple sources of data into valuable analysis, insights and reporting.
  • Have a demonstrated background of commercial acuity, preferably via customer facing experience in the marine industry.
  • Dedication to perfection and with a strong passion for continuous improvement of the customer experience.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and ability for effective communication. Proficiency in English
  • Proficient knowledge of: Microsoft Excel, Power BI, CRM Platform (Dynamics, SAP CRM or Salesforce)
  • Flexibility to travel
