Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe work practice by acting in compliance with MVOW HSErequirements.
  • Ensure own P.P.E checks are done, and monthly check sheets are logged
  • Daily communication with Deputy Commissioning Manager
  • Execute WTG completion and start-up
  • Troubleshoot, operate and maintain WTG's
  • Expected to progress to an appropriate level of understanding of the Wind Turbine Safety Rules and relevant Management Instructions and become an Authorised Technician (AT)
  • Act as a role model and mentor for new colleagues, Sub-contractors and Service Technicians
  • Qualifications

  • Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) and Quality (QAQC) focused
  • Familiar with common IT tools
  • Fluent in English both oral and written
  • Competencies

    The four-month position starts with an introduction programme in August 2021 at the headquarters in Aarhus followed by GWO training. Subsequently, you will start the work rotations. In between work periods, you will have time to complete your bachelor’s project. During the time as a Jr. Aspirant, MHI Vestas will ensure an ongoing dialogue with you on work performance and future employment possibilities.

    Aspirant role

    In the position of an Aspirant, you will be conducting all technical training related to the individual focus areas. In addition, more project-specific training will also be part of your traineeship. After this period, you will be capable of taking on a position as Pre-assembly Supervisor or Offshore Supervisor within either Installation or Commissioning. You will develop technical and management skills preparing you for your future role in MHI Vestas

    1) Commissioning Supervisor

  • Daily reporting to the Deputy Commissioning Manager
  • Work together with and supervise one or more commissioning resources; this team is called “the commissioning team”
  •  Execute wind turbine generator (WTG) completion and start-up of turbines
  • Troubleshoot, operate and maintain WTGs. Give suggestions to overall improvement points
  • Ensure a safe work practice by conducting toolbox/safety talks and offshore safety walks
  • 2) Installation Supervisor

  • Daily reporting to the Deputy Installation Manager
  • On-site resource planning and supervision of the installation teams
  • Daily coordination of installation works
  • Report documentation and technical issues including suggestions for improvements to the Technical Project Manager
  • Ensure a safe work practice by conducting toolbox/safety talks and offshore safety walks
  • 3) Pre-assembly Supervisor

  • Supervise the installation tasks within pre-assembly
  • Plan and execute tasks assigned to you - Plan and coordinate all resources
  • Act as interface between internal and external key stakeholders
  • Proactively improve the project by avoiding, minimising or eliminating technical interface issues - Ensure implementation of upgrades
  • Assist in the implementation of new procedures/processes
  • Report progress on technical issues to key stakeholders
  • General support to the Site Management
