JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Description Summary

Role Summary/Purpose:

As Lead Service Engineer, you will be part of LM Service function within LM Front End Engineering department where you will be reporting to the Service Solution Manager. Your role is critical in servicing technologies, products, and resolution of fleet issues to meet the expected performance of the blade for end customer.

The Lead service engineer is the key driver to roll out design for NTIs and NPIs principles in LM services, inshore blades are made more serviceable in future design, by applying this in DFMA.

Having a robust product that meets the customer requirement and our business ask is key to our success. You are a strong technical and people leader with personal drive, and are process oriented with excellent problem-solving skills, and excellent understanding of technology and product development and execution

Key responsibilities include help drive:

Ensure DFMEA review and update based on field experience. Maintain DFMEA along blade lifecycle. Specific focus on reducing severity and occurrence of failures

Driving internal projects (NTI/NPI) and interduce them to end customer.

Help drive structured RCA in field issues

Participate in new product introduction to ensure design for reliability inputs are implemented in design.

Lead Partner with Reliability quality team to create an end-to-end reliability team aiming to reduce warranty exposure while tackling the technical reliability problems

Be the link to field Services support

Support Service and Customer queries related to blade issues

Drive a 0-failure mindset in the for LM products that lead to increased availability of end-customer assets.

  • Familiar with structuredproblem-solvingtechniques.Demonstrated ability toevaluateand resolvetechnicalproblems.

  • Demonstrated strong systemthinkingand quality mindset.Ability to assess tradeoffs, effectively assess risk, and optimize results.

  • Have people management skills and ability to motive and engage team members/colleagues

  • Quick to learn & adopt newtechnologies andproduct introductionintoservicebusiness.

  • DesiredCharacteristics:

  • Able towork withhighlyskilledpeople 

  • Experience in Wind business and blade design

  • Ability todesign, analyze,documentandplan

  • Pragmatic,Innovativeand responsible
