Job Description

In this role you will be part of the Lean Portfolio Investment and Financial Management department (LPM) team in the Product & Engineering department of the Merchant Services business unit. You will report to the Director of LPM and focus exclusively on Merchant Service’s eCommerce (eCom) portfolio

Our portfolios are organized and operated in an agile manner through Agile Release Trains as development and delivery vehicles. As a Lean Portfolio Manager, you play a crucial role in ensuring that the eCom portfolio investments are aligned to the eCom business strategy and meet short/long term business needs and value expectations, while adhering to our governance processes and executing within our financial guardrails. Your effort will be crucial ensuring that eCom’s Benefits-, Spend-, Capitalisation- & EBITDA targets are met.

You will contribute in designing, implementing and operating our strategy- and value delivery- and financial portfolio processes and ways-of-working as well as leading portfolio-level analysis and reporting by partnering with business owners, development managers, product managers and release train engineers to define, analyze, and report out on portfolio-level technology- and business risks, metrics, strategy- and value delivery, cost burn and execution progress and -certainty.

Within The Following Areas Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Portfolio Value Alignment & Agile Governance

  • Support the portfolio governance processes in a Scaled Agile environment
  • Oversee the achievement and risk “blockers” related to product deliveries, particularly with regards to financial performance and delivery of value
  • Partner with Product Management to develop and review lean business cases, linking business benefits to investments for funding and allocation requests

 

Portfolio Transparency, Metrics, Financial- and Risk Management

  • Collaborate closely with the Finance team to manage budgets, run rates, cost challenges, capitalisation etc to ensure P&E achieve budget targets
  • Assess and Report the health of product deliveries with objectivity, accuracy, and transparency
  • Predict and identify risks/opportunities from interdependencies of product deliveries

 

Team Membership

  • Be part of a small team working together to support portfolio and product insights
  • Strong commitment and support for the success of the Product Operations team and its outcomes
  • Skills, ambition and that little personal twist make you succeed 

 


Qualifications

Your Professional Background And Qualifications Include

  • 5+ years of experience with portfolio management in a complex and dynamic environment, preferably within the financial services industry or other complex digital enterprise and with a proven track record of managing cross-functional processes
  • Degree within IT, finance, IT Management, Digitalisation or other related disciplines
  • Fluent in English. Nordic or German languages are helpful
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and analytical skills
  • High level of expertise and knowledge of SAP Finance, MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Track record of successfully participating and adding value in cross-functional processes
  • ·Exposure to and participation in financial management processes in a portfolio context

Highly Desired Personal Qualities

  • Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with diverse leaders, particularly Finance & Controlling and Product leadership across eCom
  • Proven experience managing effective governance in the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and/or other agile methodology
  • Experience overseeing large budget initiatives
  • Able to communicate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, can handle the unexpected with flexibility
  • Ability to work with a collaborative approach and build trust with others
