Maintenance Engineer - mechanical

A unique opportunity for an experienced, self-driven and ambitious engineer to join the Dan-Halfdan Asset mechanical team in one of our onshore maintenance teams in Esbjerg. 

Here, you will become part of a dynamic work environment where in-service maintenance on our offshore installations is managed and defined onshore. You will be the technical expert support to offshore within your area of responsibility and as Maintenance Engineer you will be accountable for the overall process of planning, prioritization and execution of your activities, as well as budget responsible. 

Additionally, you will maintain maintenance programs, to ensure a safe, economically and technically optimal operation of equipment. You will on a daily basis coordinate with onshore and offshore personnel as you ensure progress within your area of responsibility 

This is a highly independent role, and you need to be able to make decisions on your own. You will occasionally travel to sites both onshore and offshore. You will get excellent learning and development opportunities and chances to excel within your area of expertise.

Key Responsibilities 


Drive an incident-free environment through embedding and maintaining strong safety culture, being a role model within safety behaviour and taking corrective action wherever necessary.

Liaise with Work Preparers, Campaign Coordinators and Schedulers to plan and organize maintenance and activities resulting in timely and efficient offshore maintenance.

Assist with root cause failure mode analysis within own area of responsibility

Assist offshore as first line of support when your technical knowledge is required

Participate in review of Maintenance Strategies – which defines our overall maintenance

Ensure compliance with legislation, company standards and procedures. 

Who we are looking for

You are able to work independently and proactively to ensure that initiatives are taken in due time. You possess a mind-set for collaboration across the organisation including good communication skills. You have the ability to maintain effective working relationships across assets and operations, including operators, vendors, contractors, subordinates, peers and superiors. 

Preferably you:

have knowledge of procedures, guidelines, interfaces, offshore process, etc. within Oil and Gas

have knowledge of maintenance philosophies

have experience, either hands-on or strong theoretical knowledge, of maintaining major rotating equipment, such pumps, generators and gas turbines as well as a high knowledge of mechanical and to some degree electrical process installations and equipment.

are skilled in communicating English clearly and concisely in verbal and written form.

Hold a B.Sc./M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineer, Marine Engineer or similar relevant educational background.
