The position

You will ensure the department is delivering high-quality project management and nationwide Hard FM services and securing high people engagement on the team. An end-to-end responsibility covering operational activities as planned maintenance, inspections, 5-year investment planning, project prioritisation, and execution of large maintenance and replacement projects.

You will guarantee that our service contracts are competitive in close collaboration with our procurement organisations and secure that we drive excellent and professional vendor, service- and project management. In addition, secure that all projects are planned and executed professionally and meet Novo Nordisk’s project management standards. 

Your key areas of responsibility:

  • Manage budgets and ensure solid investment planning
  • Ensure well planned, transparent, and documented Hard FM service deliveries
  • Maintain and develop needed subject matter expert competencies within each Hard FM subject area i.e., roofs, facades, fire equipment, area maintenance etc
  • Maintain and develop our role as Centre of Excellence within building envelopes in Denmark
  • Guarantee professional input for line of business construction projects to secure low life cycle costs
  • Proactive and close collaboration with our line of business and your colleagues in Corporate Facilities to drive a number of development-oriented projects
  • Overall, we expect you to strengthen link between daily operation, planning, and project execution to ensure stable maintenance of our buildings and areas, the involvement in Line of Business construction projects, and scaling of our Hard FM services in line with Novo Nordisk growth.

    Qualifications 

    To thrive and succeed in this role, we expect you to have: 

  • Educational background as civil engineer, or another relevant technical field
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in facility management and project management from consultant company, constructor company, or similar
  • Proven track record following up on maintenance budgets and investment planning 
  • 5+ years’ experience as a people manager, including the ability to create a culture with a high degree of psychological safety and feedback 
  • Strong communication skills in Danish and English, both orally and in writing
  • Knowledge of the Danish construction system would be a big advantage 
  • On a personal level, you are a team player and have flair for stakeholder management as you will be in daily contact with line of business, vendors, etc. You have excellent planning skills and are used to work in a structured manner with an agile mind-set.

    We are around 230 employees in Corporate Facilities (CFa) based in Bagsværd, Hillerød, Måløv and Kalundborg, managing ~2500 external employees. We drive strategic facility management in Denmark and are responsible for safeguarding, sustaining and continuously optimising Novo Nordisk property and delivering services to our 20.000 Danish colleagues.

    The specific department CFa Projects is located in Bagsværd and consists of 14 employees which are responsible for driving maintenance and replacement projects across all Danish sites. Further, the team delivers Hard FM service and maintenance through contracts with external vendors.
