Master Planner Material Management Assembly and Rotor

Would you like to take on a key position in Logistics within a fast-growing, green energy company?

Then you might be one of the 2 master planners we need for the assembly and rotor segments, respectively.

You will work cross-functionally and strategically with developing and providing input to the daily production and recommendations to management on production scenarios,” says Roger Hansen, Director, Material Management.

Join the global logistics planning in MHI Vestas

Becoming part of MHI Vestas Offshore Wind’s Global Supply Chain Management, you will join the Material Management team of 40 colleagues. We handle the logistics for MHI Vestas’s global production of wind turbines. As we work in a matrix organisation, you will collaborate across functions such as Procurement, Supply Chain Engineering and Manufacturing.

Systemise and provide master planning input on manufacturing level

As our new master planner for our assembly or rotor segment, you will start systematising our master planning efforts. Then, working highly independently, you will:

  • Collect input from relevant parts of the organisation, e.g. the Commercial team, Supply Chain, Technology, Operations and Finance, to manage manufacturing capacity resulting in one master plan
  • Analyse, identify and calculate possible production scenarios and manage alternatives based on input from key stakeholders
  • Coordinate and communicate between functions to facilitate alignment and decision-making on management level
  • Be part of our master planner forum where colleagues from all over the world provide input to and set the direction for our global planning
  • Take part in the overall planning between our production sites, working closely together with local management teams and support our master schedule processes
  • Support the business segment with developing investment simulations
  • Provide business segment KPI measurements, tracking and reporting in alignment with Supply Chain Engineering

Knowledgeable in logistics processes and data analysis

You know how to keep a sense of perspective in a deadline-driven environment. You possess great drive and the desire to move things forward and deliver good results even on a tight schedule.

In addition, you have a structured and well-organised approach to your tasks, enabling you to create well-defined processes within your area of responsibility.

We also imagine that you:

  • Hold a relevant degree or education within logistics, supply chain management or similar
  • Bring 3+ years of experience with planning, including identifying planning issues to facilitate the optimal solutions
  • Can collect and process a wide range of inputs and data from stakeholders in a complex value chain
  • Bring knowledge and/or experience with investment simulation in relation to planning
  • Bring solid Excel and PowerPoint skills, including the ability to create and share presentations that convey complex messages in a simple and understandable manner
  • Speak and write English effortlessly and can communicate to any stakeholder at all organisational levels with ease
