We are looking for Mechanical Field Engineers who will join our other 50 colleagues for a demanding career that involves deployment to Cement and Minerals sites around the world.

Cement and Minerals plants are often located in remote places, this mean that you will not be a sightseeing tourist, but an integrated part of large-scale engineering challenges. 

As a Mechanical Field Engineer, you will be based in your home country but will be constantly deployed to our sites all over the world, supervising erection and assisting with commissioning of mechanical equipment in the cement and minerals industries.  You will need to be ready to travel at short notice and be able to cope with a considerable amount of uncertainty in relation to destination and duration of the assignments.

 

Detailed Description

Engineering on the road – but off the beaten track

You will meet all kinds of technical challenges related to large mechanical plant installation and construction projects, from supervision of the mechanical erection during all phases from civil constructions ends until the equipment is successfully commissioned, or on trouble shooting tasks on already installed equipment - from conveyor belts to large kilns or vertical mills - regardless of time of day and whether you are in Algeria, Phillipines or Pakistan.

Your role will include:

·         Instruction and supervision of clients and contractors in relation to erection of the equipment

·         Ensure high quality standards and support progress and safety on site

·         Trouble shooting of mechanical equipment

·         Erection planning

·         Feedback and reporting to FLS project management/HQ

As your experience grows you can look forward to being responsible for the mechanical equipment in a complete department on a Cement or Minerals factory – or maybe even an entire plant.

This role means that you are constantly on the road so you will have to find creative ways to maintain a social life back home.

Adaptable and goal-focused team player with desire to see the real world

The preferred candidate would have a couple of years experience as a travelling field engineer, or you may have recently completed your mechanical or marine engineering degree, preferably with relevant experience from previous jobs. A global mind-set would be advantageous, along with an ability to understand local client requirements and combine your theoretical knowledge with hands-on problem solving, when things do not go according to plan.

Du vil blive den ansvarlige maskiningeniør og del af det team, som står for udviklingen af vores succesrige MiniProf måleudstyrsserie, som er førende på verdensplan indenfor digital højpræcisionsmåling af tværsnitsprofiler på hjul, skinner, bremser og kontakter. MiniProf-systemer tilbyder den højeste nøjagtighed, der er tilgængelig på markedet, og bruger et full contact måleprincip for at sikre størst mulig pålidelighed og leveres sammen med et unikt on-site post processing software. MiniProf er løbende udviklet over mere end 25 år og baseret på feedback fra omkring 3.000 globale brugere i 55 lande.

Dine opgaver vil være:

  • Mekanisk design og videreudvikling af vores brede produktserie.
  • Analyse af mekaniske/tekniske problemstillinger ifm. produktudviklingen.
  • Udvælgelse og kommunikation med kvalificerede leverandører.

Du vil udover leverandørkontakt også have begrænset kundekontakt. I den forbindelse kan der eventuelt blive lidt rejseaktivitet til vores kunder og leverandører, som fordeler sig over hele verden.
