Your challenges

Joining our newly established Regional Marketing department based in Hørsholm, you will be a part of the North Western European Customer Experience Unit (CXU). You will have the opportunity to join a young, multi-talented international team with an ambition to create and deliver a world class marketing agenda, fuelled in part by the ambition to explore new opportunities for growth. This temporary position (12-month maternity cover) is an excellent opportunity for a highly ambitious and driven marketeer to take on their first international role, within an apex team with a strong focus on coaching and professional development.

As a Media & Performance Manager, you will optimize VELUX media investments in the North Western European region to deliver outstanding business results for VELUX’ marketing campaigns. This role will ensure that VELUX maximises ROI on media investments, by combining solid customer insights and market data analysis to target the right audiences across online and offline channels. Media insights and strategy will be the core of this role, combined with an ability to plan, optimize, and analyse VELUX media investments in collaboration with the marketing communications team, the media agency, and VELUX in-house digital centre of excellence

Region North West Europe covers the following countries: Great Britain, Ireland, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Netherlands and Belgium. The region is newly formed as part of an ambitious re-organisation of the VELUX marketing effort into four powerful regions. The regionalised structure is connected to a global marketing team, primarily focused on brand and overall strategic coherence.

In addition, your primary tasks will be to:

  • Act as a service for the full regional term of media planning.
  • Connect and collaborate with the global GTM / Media Agency.
  • Identify target audiences and understand their behaviour and habits.
  • Determine the best media outlet mix for our campaigns.
  • Optimize ad campaigns according to geographic exposure, frequency, time spans, etc.
  • Evaluate the success of media strategies and campaigns
  • Passionately defend, nurture and project the VELUX brand through all materials / content/ assets across the region.
  • You can expect to travel approximately 10-20 days annually – internationally, in order to be close to customers and understand our markets.
  • Your qualifications

    Ideally, 3 years of experience as Media Planner, as well as experience with international clients and campaigns is preferred. However, as long as you have the curiosity, drive, and passion to take our marketing efforts to a new level, we are willing to develop the right candidate for this temporary role. 

    We picture you as being highly driven, motivated and outcome focused, with strong project management skills. It is essential that you have excellent communication skills, where you can communicate effectively with stakeholders across multiple levels and are inherently collaborative by nature. You are a strong decision maker, are motivated by your tasks, and tend to take the initiative to make things happen. You thrive in an international environment and know how to act local and think global.

    Moreover, we expect that you: 

  • Have a bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Are familiar with campaign evaluation metrics and media buying.
  • Have an analytical mindset with an aptitude for statistics and math.
  • Have broad knowledge of media channels and media instrumentality.
  • Are fluent in written and spoken English. Proficiency in Dutch, Flemish & Nordic languages is plus, but not mandatory.
  • It is an advantage if you have experience with digital media planning and / or working knowledge of analytics tools
