Your mission

As our new merchandiser/planner, you will join the Merchandising team within our Omni-channel department in Lyngby, Denmark. Here, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of the corporate merchandising strategy through overseeing the merchandising function for the Bang & Olufsen mono-brand or multi-brand network.

You will be key in advising stores on how to get the best performance out of their selected products by ensuring optimal execution of merchandising guidelines and processes in the respective channel. Furthermore, you will:

  • Translate channel needs into tiered assortment plans for the business and ensure range plan optimisation
  • Carry out sales analysis and reporting drawing conclusions and recommendations to maximise sales
  • Carry out sales budgeting/account planning support in collaboration with the Sales team on annual sell out budgeting by market/channel/partner and ensure alignment of monthly phasing
  • Formulate the OTB proposal by market/channel/partner based on sales plan, product road map
  • Point our suggested buys by market/tier and partner with Sales to ensure sell in accordingly
  • Manage the forecast for core and seasonal products (12-month rolling forecast)
  • Ensure merchandising reporting, weekly/monthly and quarterly
  • Your network

    Our Omni-channel department is a center of excellence globally with specialists in wholesale, BtB and retail. Together, we help different markets become more effective, and the Merchandising team is planning leg with global access to all markets. Our global merchandising director has strong, international merchandising experience and is looking for 2 merchandisers to help develop this new function and best practice as merchandising beacons in Bang & Olufsen.

    What you bring

    You have a minimum of 5 years’ merchandising/planning/buying experience for a luxury lifestyle brand with a deep working knowledge of the luxury retail landscape. Also, you have experience with either wholesale or retail distribution – or both – with a proven track record of cross-functional collaboration and execution of merchandising strategies. Moreover, you bring:

  • Strong communication skills in English with the ability to advocate for change and transformation across markets to spread the word on best practice
  • Good Excel working knowledge and perhaps experience using merchandising software
  • The ability to combines strategic thinking, strong commercial acumen and to collaborate across functions
  • The desire to take on a challenge in a new team where you will not always know the answers
