The Package Manager, Mechanical Plumbing, will be overseeing and inspecting the mechanical aspects of a site, attend site meetings and liaise with other contractors on the site. You are proactive and plan ahead in order to eliminate any potential issues on site. You will be responsible for mechanical, electrical and plumbing contractors on site, ensuring that all MEP designs are identical to architectural specs and are delivered to the required quality standards and within agreed timescales. The role will provide ongoing support to our in-house technical, construction and commercial teams and managing MEP trade contractors and specialist contractors. The role is site-based.Your primary tasks will be to

  • Ensure that all operational activities are delivered to the agreed time, cost, service specification, presentation and quality
  • Keep and maintain full documentation to ensure that good business practice is achieved 
  • Report back to Senior Management on the progress of projects and outline any issues that may occur to help meet the needs of the business
  • Fully comply with the company standards and expectations manual 
  • Ensure that project/customer excellence is achieved on all projects under your supervision
  • Attend client and main contractor meetings
  • Run mechanically biased projects from start to finish and deliver them within time, cost and quality targets to the correct industry standards
  • Act as a primary liaison with clients, engineers, sub-contractors and suppliers
  • Lead and supervise all on-site staff as well as oversee the management of sub-contractors

To be successful in this role

You have excellent project management, site management and organisational skills with proven experience of ensuring that a project is completed on time and within budget. Ability to take ownership of problems from identification through to resolution is required, and financial knowledge would also be valuable. The ability to communicate confidently is essential.As Package Manager, Mechanical Plumbing, you must come from a strong mechanical background and be experienced in plumbing/gas/HVAC/heating installations. Your mechanical, electrical or technological background enables you to undertake the challenges of sophisticated plumbing/gas/HVAC/heating installations. You have the ability to communicate technical material to a non-technical customer. You have demonstrated experience in the areas of programming, design development, scheduling, construction management and keeping project within budget limit.
