New Product Development Manager, Milk Based Beverages

Based in state-of-the-art innovation center in Aarhus as well in Esbjerg on production sites, you will work around the Innovation team in our Milk Based Beverages business unit. So, if you are passionate about working at a fast pace and creating the future of brands such as Arla, Cocio and some of our global licensing brands like Starbucks, this could be the job for you.

Invent and develop Milk Based Beverage products of the future

Your main goal is to develop breakthrough products as well as line extensions across the Milk Based Beverages category including Arla, Cocio, licensed brands, and private label. As such, you will be heading a large number of development projects of varying size and, with hands on approach, you will drive the activities from start to finish. This position puts you in a unique position to have a major impact on the future success of the organization. 

We need you to be a technical specialist, but also have the ability to think strategically and work closely with business stakeholders. Other main responsibilities will include:

  • Project Leadership, including being able to manage cross-functional teams, create and update an overall project timeline and project network
  • Turning concepts into innovative new products in order to give Arla a commercial advantage
  • Optimizing the cost / value of new and existing products, working closely with global marketing, suppliers, our supply chain and other stakeholders.
  • Leading product and process development projects, including recipe finalization, cost management, quality assurance and legal assessment
  • Working closely with Brand Managers and colleagues within MBB Innovation to act as a strong and credible technical sparring partner in discussions.
  • Acts as a knowledge expert in key areas, especially long-life ambient products and processes
     

Inventive and innovative - and able to challenge the status quo

If you have a background within dairy, beverage, food/beverage technology or science at Master’s level. Topped with minimum 2 years’ experience within product development. You have the exact credentials needed for this key NPD position.

This means that you are able to think outside of the box in order to develop ground-breaking solutions for Milk Based Beverage products of tomorrow. If you have been working within the beverage or dairy industry or have experience with beverages manufacturing as well as flavor application and flavor house cooperation, it will absolutely give you a head start.

Cross functional project management experience is important as well as being hands on. If you are more interested in project management and less so in hands on tasks / product development manager will not be a good fit for you.  You must be fluent in English (verbal and written) in order to navigate in an international environment, and ideally have some level of communication in Danish.

Finally, you are a good at communicating clearly, building personal relations both across organizational levels and externally. In addition, you are equipped with a sound business understanding and are skilled at driving projects from start to finish.
