Nutrition Research Communicator, Aarhus

Are you a nutrition specialist, and do you know what scientific news we should be sharing on social media this week? Join us to help make Arla Foods a leading voice in the global nutrition debate.

At Arla, we are setting the bar high for health and nutrition in global dairy production. As a nutrition research communicator, you will work closely with colleagues across our Nutrition, Corporate Communications, CSR and Public Affairs teams to help drive the health and nutrition news agenda and manage perceptions of dairy. You will work with dedicated specialists at our newly built Innovation Centre as part of a global organisation that offers ample opportunity for professional development.

Help us drive the health and nutrition news agenda
At our Innovation Centre in Aarhus, you will join the Nutrition team of 10 that manages research for brands and categories across the global Arla Foods organisation. Here, you will be tasked with ensuring that nutrition science is used effectively to promote and manage perceptions of dairy and our products.

Dividing your time between the Nutrition team and a task force with colleagues from the Corporate Communications team, you will help identify relevant research news as well as when, where and how to share it. As you will also work with our Corporate Communications teams in Sweden and the UK, you will have around 30 days of international travel per year.

To help drive the defined agendas within nutrition and health for Arla Foods, you:

  • Act as a core partner to Corporate Communications, CSR and lobbying to ensure that all relevant findings are translated into consumer language and shared through the right channels
  • Build strong relations with academics and suppliers in the areas of sustainable diets
  • Engage with relevant external stakeholders – e.g. governmental bodies, politicians, non-governmental organisations and consumers – to drive defined health agendas
  • Drive the development of expertise in nutrition by staying updated on the latest research and translating this into consumer language
  • Are responsible for content shared with external stakeholders

Nutrition specialist with a background in science communication
You are passionate about nutrition and health and understand the role of research in a commercial context. In line with this, you stay up to date on innovation, trends and developments in the field and know how to communicate it all to colleagues and consumers alike.

You know how to navigate in a matrix organisation and thrive in a role that requires you to reach out and share knowledge and insights with a wide network of stakeholders that includes communication specialists, researchers and decision-makers. In addition, you have:

  • A PhD in the field of human nutrition or food science or an MSc combined with very solid experience in the field
  • +3 years of experience with stakeholder engagement from a major company or organisation
  • Excellent communication skills, and you speak and write English fluently
  • Ideally experience working with sustainable diets
