OFFSHORE MECHANIC for well stimulation vessel

Job Function

Responsible for maintaining, repairing, service, tuning, assemble and re-assemble Frac units, all stimulation equipment and ensuring that maintenance records are maintained, and preventative maintenance routines carried out. Maintenance system updated as necessary. Reporting any faults to Vessel Supervisor.

Key Areas

  1. Carry out preventative maintenance of all assigned well stimulation equipment and update maintenance system.
  2. Set up, check and operate Frac units and other stimulation equipment.
  3. Learn and keep up-to-date all the equipment information and history.
  4. Inform Vessel Supervisor of any defective equipment and ensure remedial action is taken to repair.
  5. Assist Instrumentation Technician, etc as required.
  6. Perform to the Quality Standards set by Company.
  7. Actively ensure own health and safety and the health and safety of all fellow workers or other workers is preserved at all times.
  8. Ensure full awareness of, and compliance with, the requirements of all relevant company HSE handbooks, HSE procedures and emergency procedures.
  9. Respond to Emergencies as directed by the Well Stimulation Supervisor and as detailed in the Emergency Response Manual.
  10. Responsible for Housekeeping in Following Areas – High Pressure Pump Room, Generator Room, Workshop and CP Room.
  11. Any other duties as assigned by Vessel Supervisor.

Safe Working

Within area of responsibility:

  1. Prevent the potential escalation of any stimulation engineering critical condition.
  2. Satisfy current legislation, codes of practice and organizational requirements.
  3. Deal effectively with accidents and incidents.
  4. By own observation and information received; maintain health and safety systems, maintain security systems and procedures
  5. Ensure all necessary records are complete accurate and legible.

Experience, Qualifications and Skills

  1. Preferably 2+ years in last 5 years on vessels/offshore in Mechanic position.
  2. Evidence of qualifications as time served Mechanic.
  3. Hold all relevant training certificates e.g., current UKOOA medical, STCW 95, offshore survival certificate.
  4. Ability to perform duties within difficult parameters and in a challenging environment in accordance with company QHSE systems, standard practices and statutory regulations
  5. Good interpersonel and communications skills

Employment period is 2-3 month, starting from 1st June 2018
