KP Consulting is looking for new resources in the railways business for a specific international assignment for our customer.

KP Consulting is a Danish based company with a branch office in Israel. The mother company was founded in 2006. The company is supporting the railway business with Project Management, Quality assurance, HSE, technical competences and recruiting and is expanding the business alliance with its Railway costumers.
Thus, we are now looking for a highly experienced Operation Director, to play a vital role in development of our costumer’s request with responsibility to establish the Operation & Safety for a LRV/Metro line in Tel Aviv, reporting to the CEO, having a real impact on the performance of the Operation with a once in a life time experience.

Job Description:
Operation Director position for new line and system which is currently under construction.
The Operation Director will be responsible for the overall operation, safety and efficiency of the Line, and will be qualified as the Operation Director according to the local law.
The Operation Director will be part of the senior management of the company, together with the safety manager, maintenance manager, public service, IT manager and financial manager, will report directly to the CEO, and will manage all the operation activities, including an operation deputy and engineers, OCC operators, train and station staff.
During the first years of project mobilization (2018-2021), he/she will develop the operation and safety strategy, degraded plans, safety cases, operation procedures, training programs, etc.; will be involved in the project design; will be the senior operation point of contact with the authorities, the client and the other project contractors.

Roles and Responsibilities:
* High level responsibility for the safety operation, working with the safety manager, and the independent safety assessor;
* High level management of the operation control center, depot control center, and the stations operation;
* Develop the safety operation strategy and procedures, safety cases, degraded operation;
* Develop the operation policies and procedures for efficient operation, meeting the project KPI's, and commitment for high level service;
* Working with the parent companies to implement their policies, experience, and knowledge to the Red Line.

Job requirements:
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering, Facilities or Operational management or other railway related area;
Minimum of 6 years (out of the last 10 years) of rail operations management experience;
LRT operation management experience, advantage for experience in systems with line of sight operation and road interfaces;
Experience and proven knowledge of train scheduling, train utilization, control center operations, safety operation, station operations, train operations and depot operations;
