Nowadays, search is about people finding what they need… not how many keywords you can stuff on a keyword-focused page where keywords are key and words are keys. Keyword.

We need someone who understands that search is an integral component of e-commerce. Someone who knows that a search is performed by another human. A human who is hunting for something. It’s about optimising for that human (not the machine) and creating a customer because he/she’s found the answer they were looking for. 

That said, we know that the machine is important. We don’t shy away from ranking! So you’ll need to blend search intent with a happy machine. It’s no easy feat. That’s why we’re looking for you. 

You'll join a team of exceptional media buyers and channel owners. A team that keeps pushing the perceptions about what's possible on any given channel – no stopping.

We’re Trendhim, an e-commerce company that designs men’s accessories and sells directly to customers in over 40 countries. For the last 5 years, we’ve won the Børsen Gazelle prize for growth (and we plan to continue doing that). We were also named the 10th fastest growing company in Denmark in 2017, and we’ve won Best International Internship Company, Future Talent Builder and a CSR recognition. Why are we telling you this? Your responsibilities

You’ll constantly evaluate what options in OSO (Organic Search Optimisation) have the biggest impact. You possess the ability to go and make things happen and the skills to make a darn good analytical report on your results. 

1. Aggressive ranking strategies on core e-com pages like category and product

2. Owning off-site searches for product and brand reviews

3. Owning all info/guide/technical searches for all categories

4. Mapping our site structure and naming conventions to match searches

5. Expanding "SEO" beyond on-site – Dominating reviews and mentions on other sites (YT, etc.)

6. Content clustering strategies

7. Start with the research - answerthepublic, storybase etc.

8. Aria Tagging and other content markup of the entire site

9. Extreme metadata for image search results – EPIC tagging

10. Bracing for voice – Long, specific questions with one correct answer

 

Basically, we need someone who loves to identify opportunities and act on them.

We haven’t planned how you'll be successful in doing this. That’ll be for you to find out. But we'll make sure you get the resources needed.
