Personnel Coordinator

We Offer

You will be a part of an onshore rig team of other professional and skilled colleagues. You will be placed in the frontline of our drilling operation and have daily contact with our offshore employees.  This position is based in Lyngby, Denmark, on local terms and conditions.  For the right candidate, sitting directly with the rig team in the Netherlands is a possibility. Maersk Drilling is a truly international company with our employees representing 65 nationalities. Key Responsibilities

As Personnel Coordinator, you will be responsible for the offshore crew on one of our drilling rigs which is currently operating in the Dutch sector of the North Sea.  Your main task is to ensure that the rig is fully manned at all times, as well as support managers both offshore and onshore with regards to HR matters, policies, procedures and processes.  You are their first point of contact when it comes to all HR matters and support. Your daily tasks include, but are not limited to: 

  • Handling logistical challenges
  • HR administration
  • Payroll
  • Recruitment
  • Minor finance-related tasks

Furthermore, you will be part of a weekly rotating duty roster, where you must be available via phone 24/7.  

You are also expected to go offshore as well as meet the offshore employees at the heliport a few times per year as establishing a good relationship with our offshore employees is a vital part of the job.

Who we are looking for

Our new colleague thrives in a hectic work place, is self-driven and results-oriented. The ideal candidate has experience with personnel coordination and logistics, and enjoys operational tasks in a fast-paced environment. It is important that you are service-minded, but are not afraid to enforce our policies and challenge decisions, when necessary.   We expect that you are:  

  • Conversant with HR principles  
  • Have knowledge of Dutch rules and regulations within e.g. the offshore or mining industries
  • Conversant with computerized personnel management systems. Experience with SAP HR is an advantage but not a prerequisite
  • Have at least two years of experience in personnel administration preferably within the offshore or shipping industry

Furthermore, you:

  • Possess excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)
  • Are outgoing and approachable
  • Are organized and work in a detailed and structured manner  
  • Must be able pass medical examinations and safety training applicable to non-regular crew as required for travelling to the offshore units
