Plant Engineering & Maintenance Manager to the largest fermentation Plant in the World

For our great customer Remilk, who is on a mission to introduce a new generation of real dairy - cleaner, healthier, and so much better for our planet, without using a single cow! Adecco is looking for a Plant Engineering & Maintenance Manager

As part of the rapid growth plan of Remilk, we are about to construct and operate the world’s largest fermentation plant. This high-volume manufacturing plant (HVMP) of Remilk will be located in Kalundborg Denmark. We are looking for the right team to lead the project and the site in the years to come.

Who are we looking for?

You are an exceptional Engineering Manager and an experienced leader with technical expertise and skills to execute a maintenance strategy that ensures plant reliability and fosters a continuous improvement of culture.

The new Plant Engineering & Maintenance Manager at Remilk will have the responsibility to support the first Greenfield project, lead the plant Projects and Maintenance team and to provide technical expertise and utilize leadership skills to deliver plant operations results. Further, you will play a major role in the global engineering team.

Your focus will be to support the ongoing local site mass production, recruit the Engineering & Maintenance team, and perform excellence in all engineering aspects of

  • Infrastructure and equipment maintenance
  • Production process scale-up and control
  • Project execution

In addition, you will continuously focus on reducing costs and improving production efficiency on site.

You are a true people person, who enjoys leading your team. Furthermore, we imagine that you possess

  • Technical expertise and refined leadership skills
  • Ability to collaborate and manage employees from different professional and cultural backgrounds
  • High level of self-direction
  • Entrepreneurial spirit by nature

To succeed in this role, you have a background from an industrial organization, with at least 7 years of experience in a high-volume microbial fermentation plant – you also have

  • A relevant B.Sc. degree in - Chemistry, Mechanical or Biotechnology engineering
  • Experience with directly leading a team of engineers
  • Proven record of working in Greenfield/Brownfield Projects
  • Excellent communication skills, high level of spoken and written English (Skills in an additional language is an advantage)
  • Willingness to travel abroad
  • Strong identification with Remilk’s mission

It is an advantage if you have a relevant background in the food or pharmaceutical industry and a necessity to have a strong identification with the Remilk’s mission.
