Job description
A successful candidate will get a chance to partake in research and collaboration with the scientific as well as commercial community in the field of catalyst metal nanoparticle recycling and synthesis and contribute to research within applied science.

The main tasks include the following four activities:

  1. Comprehensive material and solution characterization and monitoring
  2. Reaction condition validation and mechanism interpretation
  • Reaction, separation and purification process optimization and upscaling
  1. Entire process structure evaluation, waste and recyclability assessment

It is preferred if candidates have experience and contributions within one or more of the following areas:

  • proton exchange membrane fuel cell and electrolyzer catalyst syntheses/characterization
  • Polymer processing / development
  • Catalytic body preparation, characterization or structure development (electrochemical conversion, emission control or petroleum chemistry)
  • Industrial catalysis
  • Heterogeneous catalysis and reaction characterization
  • Wet (precious) metal chemistry

We offer
We offer an inspirational international research environment with excellent infrastructure including large scale facilities and strong collaborations with a vast international network, research organizations and commercial stakeholders. We offer a position from which to further develop the fundamental chemistry and to combine this knowledge with an ambitious up-scaling perspective.

We expect
The candidate shall have a PhD degree or equivalent in chemistry / chemical engineering / material science / physical chemistry /nanotechnology / metallurgy or similar field.

We are seeking a highly motivated candidate, with good research background and practical engineering experience, a proven record of publications in international peer reviewed journals and who communicates well in an international environment. The candidate must be able to carry out independent, systematic and rigorous research and engineering work, which is clearly aligned with the overall project activity.
