Postdoc in autism spectrum disorder (ASD)

Applications are invited for 1-2 Lundbeck Foundation & NIH BRAIN Initiative postdoctoral positions at the Department of Psychology, University of Southern Denmark.

The postdocs will be supervised by Associate Professor Ulrich Kirk.

The funded research will investigate the neural, and cognitive mechanisms that underpin adolescents with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and will have a particular focus on early development.

This research will use a combination of neurocomputational modeling, fMRI experiments, and psychophysical experiments primarily in the domains of social decision-making. 

The appointments are for 1.5 years.

The successful applicant will have a PhD in cognitive psychology, cognitive neuroscience, or neuroscience. A strong background in neuroimaging (fMRI) methods, and strong abilities in data analysis and computational methods in cognitive neurosciences are an advantage. Programming experience and excellent quantitative and statistical skills are required. Expertise in social neuroscience and/or developmental psychology research is desirable but not a prerequisite.
