Postdoc in head and neck cancer research

The Oto-Rhino-Laryngology (ORL) Research Unit, Department of Clinical Research, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Southern Denmark invites applications for a position as postdoc as part time (19,99%) in head and neck cancer research to be filled from 1st of April 2019 to 31st of marts 2021. 

Current research lines of the Research Unit of ORL are: Epidemiological and interventional research in the fields of:

  • Head and neck cancer
  • Laryngology and phoniatrics
  • Thyroid and parathyroid surgery
  • Audiology and otology
  • Vascular malformations
  • Chronical rhino-sinusitis

Research profile and tasks:

It will be expected that the new postdoc develops her/his research area in collaboration with researchers from the above-mentioned research areas. Furthermore, he/she will be expected to be project supervisor for a PhD-student doing research in the field of PET/MRI in head and neck cancer.

Furthermore, it will be expected that the postdoc is willing to join a PhD-supervisor course and to take over teaching lessons for the head of research when needed.

The successful candidate will be expected to have: 
• a PhD degree in head and neck cancer with focus on imaging
• research experience documented by international peer-reviewed journal articles within the fields of head and neck cancer and PET/CT
