Postdoc in Nanofabrication and device design toward quantum information technology

The Center for Quantum Devices is a basic research center supported by the Danish National Research Foundation, comprising materials research, experimental physics, nanoelectronics and condensed matter theory. Station Q Copenhagen is a research center sponsored by Microsoft Research aimed at developing topological quantum information processing hardware.  
 
The position  
The Center for Quantum Devices and Station Q Copenhagen are seeking applications for technical postdoc position for the experimental implementation of solid state quantum information systems. Applicants should have a PhD in Physics with relevant experimental experience. Research involves device design, nanofabrication with a variety of state-of-the-art cleanroom tools, and device testing, material characterization and related activities, working with a team of researchers, students, and faculty.

The postdoctoral fellowship is at the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen, with collaborative teams in Delft Technical University (NL), University of Sydney (AUS), Purdue University (USA), UC Santa Barbara (USA), and Microsoft, Redmond, Washington (USA).  
 
The position is open from 20 March, 2018 or after, by arrangement.  The position is available for a 2-year period.

Terms of employment  
The position is covered by the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff.  
Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.  
 
The starting salary is minimum  398K DKK including annual supplement plus additional pension contribution minimum 68K DKK. Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
