Postdoc in Occupational Therapy

The Research Initiative for Activity Studies and Occupational Therapy at the Research Unit of General Practice, Department of Public Health, invites applications for a two-year 50% (18.5 h) postdoctoral position. 

The successful candidate will be expected to initiate and carry out research at the Research Initiative for Activity Studies and Occupational Therapy and to teach at the master’s program in Occupational Therapy. 

Research 

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to projects as collaborator as well as to initiate research projects related to occupational therapy and health technology.  

The candidate will be expected to: 

• Participate in research seminars, including presenting own research, receiving and providing feedback on e.g. manuscripts, oral presentations and posters
• Collaborate with colleagues at the Research Initiative for Activity Studies and Occupational Therapy and in the Research Unit of General Practice on developing new research plans.
• Co-supervise PhD. and master students 

Teaching

Being part of the teaching staff will involve:

  • Planning and completing education within occupational therapy and health technology
    • Responsibility for the course in health technology, including developing course guidelines, coordination and collaboration with teaching staff and guest lecturers, 
    • Contribution to the development of the master’s program in collaboration with the head of studies, course coordinators and teaching staff, including marketing of the education

Required qualifications

The successful candidate must have completed a doctoral degree (at least Ph.D. or equivalent). Moreover, the application must include documentation for:

• Experience in teaching and supervising at the master’s level. 
• Research experience related to occupational therapy and health technology. 
• Prerequisites and interests in developing and coordinating research activities in relation to occupational therapy and health technology. 
• Collaboration with relevant research groups/units

The successful applicant for the position as postdoc will be employed in accordance with the agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and AC (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations).

• a presentation of other qualifications of relevance to the position.
