Postdoc in surface energy balance by use of UAV

Within the Terrestrial Ecosystem Analysis research Group a two-year Postdoc position is available within the fields of physical geography, surface energy balance, remote sensing and micrometeorology. The use of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in connection with measurements of energy and gas exchange is under rapid development and we are seeking a motivated post-doc who want to contribute to this. The position is dedicated to the exploration of new techniques and methods to improve mapping of vegetation, surface roughness and energy budgets. Focus will be on the use of lidar and radiation sensors onboard UAV with the aim of linking surface flux measurements using eddy covariance to near surface remote sensing observations.  
 
The Postdoc is expected to take an active role in the development process as well as being responsible for the experimental program, which will be linked to the Danish ICOS program and conducted primarily in Denmark.  
We are seeking a highly motivated person who may have a background in micrometeorology, remote sensing or related field, and proven skills to communicate research results in both written and spoken English. Some experience in experimental use of scientific instrumental is requires.

The starting salary is currently up to DKK 413.717 including annual supplement (+ pension up to DKK 70.746). Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
