Catalysis is key in the future transition towards renewable chemicals and fuels. The newly established Center for High Entropy Alloy Catalysts (CHEAC) targets electrochemical reactions for the production of renewable and high-value chemicals.

The aim is to understand and discover materials for catalyzing electrochemical reactions. This position is for 2 years within computational chemistry, applying and developing state of the art electronic structure simulations tools and analysis. There will be a close collaboration with the experimental partners in the project.

The postdoc’s duties will include research within theoretical catalysis as well as teaching. The post may also include performance of other duties.

Suitable Candidates
We expect you to be a highly motivated and ambitious scientist with the following qualifications:

  • Ph.D-degree in Physics, Chemistry or related fields with a good result.
  • Documented experience with computational chemistry/catalysis.
  • The candidate should be able to work both independently and within an international, cross-disciplinary group and supervise students.
  • Excellent written and spoken English is mandatory.
