Postdoctoral fellow in experimental quantum information at the Center for Quantum Devices and Microsoft Station Q Copenhagen

The Center for Quantum Devices is a basic research center supported by the Danish National Research Foundation, comprising materials research, experimental physics, nanoelectronics and condensed matter theory. Station Q Copenhagen is a research center sponsored by Microsoft Research aimed at developing topological quantum information processing hardware.  
 
The position?The Center for Quantum Devices and Station Q Copenhagen are seeking applications for postdoctoral fellowships for the experimental implementation of solid state quantum information systems. Applicants should have a PhD in Physics with relevant experimental experience. Research involves nanofabrication, cryogenics using a cryofree dilution refrigerator, rf and microwave electronics, data analysis, interaction with theoretical physicists, and aptitude for scientific writing in English.

The position is open from 1 June 2018 or after, by arrangement. The duration is two years with the possibility of extension.

Terms of employment  
The postdoctoral fellowship is at the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen, with collaborative teams in Delft Technical University (NL), University of Sydney (AUS), Purdue University (USA), UC Santa Barbara (USA), and Microsoft, Redmond, Washington (USA).
 
Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.  
 
The starting salary is 405k DKK plus additional pension contribution up to 69k DKK. Salary is negotiable.
