A postdoctoral position is available from 1. September 2019, or soon thereafter, in the laboratory of Prof. I. Novak at Section for Cell Biology and Physiology, Department of Biology, University of Copenhagen. The position will be associated with the project “Role of purinergic signalling in pancreatic cancer” funded by the Danish Council for Independent Research |Medical Sciences. The position is for one year.



Scientific environment
Our research addresses the role of extracellular ATP and purinergic signaling in regulation of ion transport, metabolism, cellular signaling and cell behavior in pancreatic and other cells. Long term goal is to gain understanding how perturbation in these mechanisms contribute to pancreatic cancer, diabetes and obesity. The expertise in our international group ranges from molecular biology to physiology with particular focus on innovative techniques in live cell microscopic imaging, and we run the Center for Advanced Bioimaging (www.cab.ku.dk) at Nørre Campus. In pancreatic cancer field, we have collaborations with Herlev Hospital and researchers in Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions Innovative Training Network on Pancreatic Cancer. This includes building capability profiles for key positions and identifying relevant development offerings curricula in this connection. It will be your responsibility to ensure that succession is a value-adding element on our leaders agenda. You drive the succession process in terms of stakeholder alignment, communication, process evaluation, continuous improvement and documentation. We are looking for candidates who have: A successful record of accomplishment from a role which includes talent development, talent statistics, and succession planning responsibility in a major international corporation. Experience from translating business strategy goals into actual initiatives across a large organization. Hands-on experience with operational HR in order to deliver on goals.
