Power the IT core of a powerful brand

Power the IT core of a powerful brand

We provide a solid IT core that enables the LEGO Group’s entire value chain and we are looking for talented, innovative students who are passionate about understanding and optimizing large, complex enterprise systems.

Who we are and what we do

In LEGO Business Technology – Core Systems we are providing the foundation for the IT heart of the LEGO Group, our Enterprise Resource Platform which manages all our core processes and data from product development to production and logistics to all sales orders from large retail customers such as Wallmart and Amazon as well as individual consumers. Furthermore, we also provide our IT colleagues with “everything database”.

The LEGO Group utilizes core technology from some of the larges IT vendors in the world, including SAP, Microsoft and Oracle. You will get the opportunity to get acquainted with these technologies and get hands on experience with developing, installing, maintaining and upgrading these technologies.

Your role

We are looking for a student worker who wants to try strengths with SAP systems and/or Oracle and SQL databases. Depending on your background and interests, your tasks could be:

• Assisting in projects where we install and upgrade MS SQL and Oracle database systems or SAP systems.

• Automating database management, i.e. the processes for ensuring back up, extensions, and upgrades.

• Implementing self-service for our IT colleagues who require databases.

• Operating SAP systems and handling incidents when failures occur in the systems.

• Be in close dialogue with our IT colleagues who develop SAP applications to ensure that the SAP foundation fits their needs.

Who we are looking for

We don’t expect you to have extensive prior knowledge! What we are looking for is someone who:

• Has a keen interest in and is curious about ERP systems and/or databases.

• Is self-driven and not afraid of questioning the status quo.

• Wants to engage with our IT colleagues to understand their needs in order to be able to provide great core services to them.

• Does not let the fear of making mistakes get in their way and takes ownership of tasks.

• Is studying a relevant master or professional bachelor’s degree (i.e. software development or engineering).

• Is comfortable communicating in English.

Join the global LEGO® Family

In the LEGO Group, we succeed together, and you will be part of a global family where you can use your creativity and enjoy a fun working environment. You will join a collaborative environment, where we will do our utmost to help you develop your talent. Here, you will get to solve tasks from day one and quickly grow valuable practical experience in a supportive learning environment. We fully respect that you are dedicated to your studies. Thus, your working hours will be adapted to this and you may also use the LEGO Group as a case for one of your papers.

If you would like to know more about the position, please call Director Peter Hvid Knudsen on +45 20308086.

We look very much forward to hearing from you! Please provide us with your application by sending it to Søren Bering Andersen at s.andersen@LEGO.com and remember to attach your cover letter, a copy of your grades and your CV.
