About the role

You will be responsible for sizing air pollution control equipment in different business sectors (cement, iron & steel, power or biomass). You will be involved in the proposal stage for equipment sizing and during execution for documents preparation, commissioning and performance tests. You will help our Clients to use our equipment efficiently and reliably, for long term and trouble-free operation.

 

About the department

Our department integrates sales, processes and proposals with the aim to support sales and execution of the Fabric Filter business unit. It consists of a global team of experienced sales managers, process engineers, layout specialists and proposal managers. You can be located in our office in Valby (Copenhagen area), Denmark or in our office in Milano, Italy.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Sizing and basic design of air pollution control equipment (fabric filters, dust transports, fans, compressors, etc.).
  • Preparation of process related documents (flow sheets, P&IDs, data sheets, control descriptions, etc.).
  • Knowledge of design criteria and industry standards.
  • Support to commissioning activities in operational trouble-shooting.
  • Evaluation of filter performance by flow and dust measurements.

 

Qualification and Background:

  • Educational background in Engineering (preferably Environmental or Chemical).
  • 3-5 years of experience in process engineering (preferably cement, iron & steel, power or biomass industry).
  • Language skills: English at mothertongue level

Can you bring innovation and technical leadership to software test automation and make it work in a continuous delivery pipeline?

As Senior Process Engineer you will be responsible for driving and developing the business globally and support the global sales force with product expertise, as well as application know-how. You will be an active member of the Agro (starch) & Protein (animal and vegetable based) central sales unit by contributing to the growth of the global Agro & Protein systems business.

About the job
The Senior Process Engineer is responsible for the robustness of the offered solutions/processes to customers both technically and commercially.

Key tasks include to:

  • support Regional Business Managers in the quotation process and “be the difference” in customer meetings
  • support the Project Execution team in projects
  • manage and maintain own product- and process portfolio
  • provide training to sales teams and customers
  • own and participate in internal business improvement projects
  • maintain market developments awareness

 
The position is based in Søborg/Copenhagen, but approx. 40-60 travel days a year must be expected.

Who you are
To be successful in this position you must be a strong communicator with a lot of drive and own initiative, who possess the ability to support, discuss with and present to maintenance crews and factory managers as well as to high level management.

You enjoy being part of a team and interacting with people as you will be working closely together with other key functions in Alfa Laval as well as external stakeholders.

What you know
You hold a degree in Engineering and have +10 years of relevant working experience.
You have experience with international B-t-B project sales and/or execution, preferably within the Agro/Protein industries, and experience/knowledge within thermal processing as well as centrifugal separation technologies and other unit operations.
Also, you have an understanding of industrial feed and hygienic food processing, and are prepared to participate in on-site tests, commissioning and trouble-shooting.
Spoken and written English at negotiation level.
