Procurement Consultants to Corporate Procurement

About the department
Novo Nordisk is the global leader among companies that improve the lives of the more than 300 million people who suffer from diabetes.

Corporate Procurement is responsible for the indirect spend of Novo Nordisk (more than 25 billion DKK) and for defining and driving the global procurement strategy. Corporate Procurement consists of 150 employees based in Denmark and India and globally more than 400 people work in procurement. Corporate Procurement is anchored with direct report to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Novo Nordisk.

The position
The Procurement Consultant Programme includes four rotations of six months each in four different departments in Corporate Procurement, located at our global headquarters in Bagsværd. The work will be based out of Denmark but involve close collaboration with the colleagues across the globe.

You will work as a fully-fledged member of each department and learn competencies relevant to the rotation in question. In the programme you will be assigned a mentor and through coaching and training you will obtain a strong consultant toolbox.

As a Procurement Consultant, you will drive selected sourcing and business development projects. In addition, you will work with developing our category strategies through sound and fact based analyses. You will work closely with our key stakeholders on identifying business improvement projects and sourcing opportunities in our global organisation and drive negotiation and relationship management with our suppliers.

We expect you to have recently completed or are close to completing a relevant Master's degree (in e.g. Supply Chain Management Finance, Business Administration, Economics or Engineering) with a top 15% GPA.

You have a great interest in procurement, supply chain management or sourcing and have worked within one or more of these areas during university projects, a student job, an internship or similar. You take leadership naturally and have high professional expectations for yourself and your colleagues. You communicate and sell your ideas effectively and you have the ability to work with various stakeholders, colleagues and suppliers. You are structured, analytical and very ambitious with excellent IT and communication skills. Finally, you are fluent in English and interested in understanding the value chain in large organisations.
