Procurement Specialist - Aarhus

Would you like to create the future procurement processes with in a major international company? If so, this is your opportunity to join Arla’s Procurement team and be part of an exciting transformation journey and create value for our dairies globally. The team is spread across Denmark, Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, UK, Poland and Hong Kong, and right now we are strengthening our position to deliver on ambitious targets. You will work out of Aarhus and report to the Senior Procurement Manager in Procurement Services.

An expert on our procurement processes
In this role, you join 19 colleagues in Procurement Services to focus on projects related mainly to our purchasing process and changes to tools including SAP, Ariba and our vendor management system. Overall, you work on optimisation projects related to procurement, focusing on our P2P process and providing high quality services to the Arla procurement department. You become a procurement specialist and help us deliver best practice processes that meet the needs of the business and our stakeholders. Specifically, your tasks include:

  • Identifying and ensuring that continuous improvements are pursued and implemented
  • Owning, delivering and anchoring impactful tools
  • Challenging processes and practices in the entire end-to-end procurement process
  • Making high quality analyses on e.g. spend visibility/baseline, traceability, consequence calculations, etc. with the aim of minimising the Total Cost of Ownership for the global spend
  • Establishing, optimising, interpreting and delivering on-going financial statements and KPI scorecard in accordance with the demand from our stakeholders

Analytical and communicative business professional
To succeed in this position, you are comfortable driving changes and making an impact in cross-functional projects. You have great communication skills and look forward to enhancing cross-border and cross-functional cooperation. Moreover, you like analysing numbers and processes, to extract findings and point to potential improvements. Your qualifications:

  • You hold a master’s degree with a business focus
  • You have a few years of experience related to procurement or a similar field 
  • You are familiar with project management tasks
  • You have the analytical skills and toolbox to conduct data analyses
  • You communicate effortlessly in English
