Vestas' Global Service business is continuously growing and has strategic importance. With our corporate strategy "Global leader in Sustainable Energy Solutions" we have set ambitious growth targets for the Service business in the coming years. Achieving such targets require a fundamental shift in how we operate - commercially as well as operationally - and digitalization is at the core of that transformation. 

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Salesforce Business Development, you will join a new team responsible for evolving and maturing the digital offerings to Vestas service 10.000+ employees who are part of enabling profitable growth and customer value. You will be committed to continuously mature and expand Vestas Commercial capabilities, focusing on the transactional sales business area.

The Product Owner for Transactional Sales is responsible for ensuring that the business agenda is supported by the right digital solutions. That business needs are translated into well designed, coherent and user-friendly digital products that can drive adoption, insights and employee and customer value. That digital capabilities are factored into the commercial strategies and value creation. More specifically your tasks will cover

  • Drive Transactional Sales digital capabilities to the next maturity levels in strong collaboration with colleagues in the commercial organisation and the Sales regions
  • Design with a full Operating Model perspective in mind and ensure implications on data, people, performance etc., are considered to enable full transformational impact
  • Keep focus on the quality and continuous optimization to ensure best-in-class User Experience and enablement for our service staff
  • Participate in roadmap planning and prioritization of backlog items
  • Analyse requirements, liaise with business stakeholders and technical experts and manage the backlog towards development teams in Global IT 
  • Work with an eye for the full value chain for transactional Sales and coordinate closely with stakeholders on ecommerce and customer facing channels and in downstream Service execution and fulfilment
  • Qualifications

  • The right candidate has worked in a similar role, and/or as a commercial management consultant, with a strong focus on digital business development
  • Hands-on experience with sales management and configure, price, quoting disciplines for transactional sales, preferably in an international B2B context
  • Experience with digitalization of sales processes and the ability to drive standardization and gain buy-in to one new way of working in a global environment
  • Experience in working as Product Owner and the deconstruction of business requirements to user stories and daily engagement with a development team in an agile setup 
  • Ability to navigate in large projects with multiple global stakeholder groups
  • Tech savvy and strong understanding of digital trends
  • Furthermore, it is an advantage if you have: experience and/or certifications within the domain area Worked with Service Sales in an engineering / manufacturing industry

  • Strong passion for monitoring the latest digital trends and how to apply the relevant ones to the business in an impactful way
